Biography
PDG Annemarie Mostert D9400 2020/2021 joined Rotary 28 years ago after being recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow. She is a charter member of the Rotary Action Group for Girls’ Empowerment.
Annemarie Mostert is a Social Entrepreneur, Director and CEO of various Business Enterprises and NGOs in Southern Africa.
In Nov 2016, she received the Rotary International United Nations Responsible Business Owners award, in New York – a recognition bestowed on only 6 business owners in the world.
Was an International Lead Trainer for International Assembly, RI President Personal Representative and currently serves on the Organising Committee for Rotary International Convention in Calgary.
CADRE in three areas of focus for the past 5 years, participated in Scaling Community of Practice and served as Programs of Scale reviewer. Is an active member of the Intercountry Committee (ICC) since 2002 and was elected as the ICC Executive Chairperson for 2026-2028. Serves on various Rotary Action Groups and Fellowships, either as charter or board member, is the Plan Team Lead for Zone 22 Africa and a Peace Builder. Annemarie was the 2024 Woman of Stature winner in Education and Training and Overall winner in 12 categories for South Africa and an MBA candidate at Regenesys Business School.
Annemarie serves in various roles in clubs, district, regional and zone levels. She is a board member of My Boby is My Body (MBIMB), a global movement for child safety. She has been appointed to the advisory committee for Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s Programme to End Global Hunger and serves here with the family and various international stakeholders.
She is a Major donor 2, Benefactor, PHF society and Bequest Society member and has established The Mostert Endowment Fund for Peace. Member of Rotary E-Club of Eagle Canyon, South Africa. Languages: English and Afrikaans.
